A soft dull golden yellow which brushes and mixes well.
This is one of the oldest known pigments and has been in constant use by artists since the cave painter.
Absolutely lightfast, a most reliable pigment. Rated 1 (excellent) in watercolor, oils, acrylics and gouache during ASTM testing and placed on the list of approved pigments.
Tinting strength and covering power are usually high. The better grades are reasonably transparent. Non-metallic preservatives.
