I notice that you now use Phthalocyanine as your transparent mid green but that you started out with Viridian. Having read your book "The Wilcox Guide to the Best Watercolour paints", I know that they are both excellent pigments, can you say why you made the change?

As you say, both are excellent pigments. The only reason that I decided to move from Viridian to Phthalocyanine Green was that I found that Viridian could sometimes be a little pasty when made up into a watercolour paint. Such pastiness was very slight and did not really detract from the suitability of the colour, as it disappeared as soon as water was added. Just me being a little bit picky.
