I notice that you have replaced Burnt Umber with Raw Sienna in your paint ranges, why is this?

As we only work with 12 colours, each must give as wide a range as possible in mixing and individual use. I introduced Raw Sienna as a semi transparent neutralized orange-yellow. Long valued as a glazing colour it provides a range of glowing golden tans when applied lightly and will give very dull subdued transparent greens with Ultramarine, these are unobtainable any other way. Burnt Umber was moved to one side in favour of Raw Sienna as the colour can be closely matched with Burnt Sienna and a touch of Ultramarine Blue.
