Will you be updating your book "The Wilcox Guide to the Best Paints" and publishing similar books on oil paints and acrylics etc.?

The first version of the Watercolors Guide was published and later revised some years before we introduced our own paints. Although our colors were produced to answer a particular need it left me in a difficult position. To update the Guide or to produce similar books would leave me open to accusations of bias, - "He only describes company X's color as unsuitable because he has his own version," etc.

Therefore I have decided on the following compromise: On future editions I will work with a small panel of artists and pigment experts. All decisions on whether or not to recommend a particular color will be made jointly. Versions covering other media will be released later.

As I feel that such information is of vital importance to the artist it cannot be left to those who simply copy my work, after the long years of difficult and expensive research have been completed.
