Our work with the Art Community

The School of Color works closely with art groups, individual artists and art teachers to improve the understanding of color, materials and technique. We would like to take that cooperation a step further through our Affiliate program.

What is the School of Color Affiliate Program?

A School of Color Affiliate promotes products offered by the Michael Wilcox School of Color, through a product page on their web site. They can also promote our products via a link or their online newsletter etc. Every resulting sale through these links earns the Affiliate a commission. Typical Affiliates are; artists, art teachers, art societies, art galleries, museums, art schools, art colleges, art departments, art and craft resource web sites and product related web sites.

The School of Color Product Range?

The School of Color was established some twenty years ago with the aim of assisting artists and craft-workers in their use of color. Based on our own original research, we have published over twenty books covering topics such as color mixing, color harmony and contrast and the selection of suitable colorants. Our best known title is ‘Blue and Yellow Don’t Make Green’. We have also developed our own paint ranges, brushes, home study courses and educational materials.

How the Affiliation Program works

The program works by our placing of a link on an existing web site or web page. Orders placed through that link are automatically traced by ourselves. We would like to place a link on your web site to the School of Color products catalogue. When a purchase is made through this link you or your organization will be credited with 15% commission of the complete sale.

Alternatively, the commission can be in the way of a monthly check for 10% of all sales made via your web site.

The link, which we will provide, can be displayed on your web site and or newsletter.

In addition, we would like to offer you a free web page on our web site. Our site is linked to the major search engines and will help promote you on the Internet. A free web page is also available to Art Clubs and Art Club Members should they wish to promote their work to a wider audience.
