I've recenetly realeased a book, "Carving Award-Winning Songbirds", published by Fox Chapel Publishing. This is a step-by-step project book featuring three projects: Mountain Bluebird, Cedar Waxwing & Red-Breasted Nuthatch. The book covers anatomy, design and full instructions for carving and painting each bird from first cut to last paint stroke. I will be starting another book in the Spring of 2006 for Fox Chapel dealing with carving birds of prey. The featured projects are tentatively a full sized bald eagle and a full sized American kestrel. Current projects include creating paintings & color mixing charts for a series of reference books on birds of prey published by Fox Chapel Publishing. This is a collaborative project with forensic artist Denny Rogers. The first two in the series will be released in the Spring of 2006. The titles are "The Illustrated Bale Eagle" and "The Illustrated Owl: Barn, Barred & Great-Horned".
