Allise Whitworth is a lifetime educator who specializes in integrated-learning through the visual arts. Her teaching venues have included public, private, and home schools, and she has taught privately in Italy, France, England, and Japan. Allise has directed a small, private art school in Atlanta focused on travel-based arts-learning. She also serves as an adjunct professor at Oglethorpe University teaching "Arts of Diverse Peoples" in the MAT program. Allise studied at the University of Georgia (BFA, 1981, MAEd, 2004) and served as a graduate assistant in the UGA Studies Abroad Program in Cortona, ITALY. Her thesis was based on the development an educational program for the Oglethorpe University Museum of Art entitled: "Utilizing a Local Museum to Integrate Art within the Homes and Classrooms of Young Children." Allise currently teaches art at Ben Franklin Academy in Atlanta, and serves as the Educational Programs Director for the Oglethorpe Museum of Art.
