Barbara Hathaway, of wilton, holds a Certificate of Advertising Design from UMA, and teaches Oil Painting, Wet-on-Wet Technique, Watercolor, Pastels, Sculpture and Illustrating Children's Books at Adult Education Pograms. Hathaway is the author illustrator of two childrens' books: The Legend of Dasher and the Toymaker and A Clown A Day.

The artists creates designer greeting cards in art and photograpy. Sculpture projects include doll making and outdoor public art. Hathaway is the Coordinator for Loon Maine-ia 2003 outdoor public art loon sculptures. The artists is a member of the Portland Musuem of Art and a member of Upcountry Artists.
