Margie Graham is an accomplished professional artist and a registered School of Color art teacher. Margie endorses the schools principals to the fullest and through personal experience believes that the School of Color’s approach it is the only way to mix and use colors. Margie is experienced in several mediums including - Oils, Watercolors, Acrylics, Gouache, Colored pencils and charcoals. Frequently she uses techniques such as color mixing by glazing in her work. Through using the ideas and materials produced by The School of Color, Margie is now running courses in Southern California to the public. These courses are designed to assist artists in gaining control of color mixing and color harmony in their work.

The above picture(no black was used) was painted after learning the art of colour mixing from Michael Wilcox's book 'Blue and Yellow don't make Green'. Practical Color Mixing Course: This course is designed for the artist or craft-worker wishing to come to terms with the practical application of color mixing rather than theory. The course will take you step by step through a series of color mixing exercises which builds into a comprehensive and invaluable color reference for your future work. Depicting Color In... Courses: These programs are designed to teach you about gaining control of color harmony in different aspects of your work. By using a limited palette of colors and understanding how to mix you will achieve the results you desire. Each course is presented in an easy to follow “step by step” format and demonstrates the approach taken by various contemporary artists using the ideas and materials that The School of Color has developed. Courses being offered in the “Depicting the Color In...”, series include: Flowers/Textures/Portraits/Water/Skies/Trees & Bushes/Mixing Greens/Country & Coastal Cottages Other Courses: Margie also has plans to develop classes in other areas including introducing children to the wonderful world of color.
